Why this exists

If you are a parent trying to work out, one question decides whether a gym is even an option: does it really have childcare, and what are the rules? The answer (ages accepted, hours, time limits, cost, whether you need to reserve) is usually buried on a website or out of date.

We collect those details in one place and tell you when and how we last checked them.

How we check

  • Confirmed: we saw the childcare program on the gym's own website, or confirmed it with the gym. The listing shows the date and how we checked.
  • Not yet verified: the gym may offer childcare, but we have not confirmed the details. Call before you visit.
  • Facts only: we record hours, ages, limits and cost. We do not copy a gym's marketing text or photos.

What we don't do

We do not inspect, license or endorse any childcare program. Policies change, and requirements for gym childcare vary by state, so confirm the details with the gym before you rely on them. Our guide tochoosing safe childcare at your gym lists questions worth asking.

For gym owners

If your gym offers childcare, you can help us get it right: tell us about your program, or correct a listing that is wrong or out of date.
